Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May 1972. She is most well-known for her role as attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), for which she is two times winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also starred in the NBC show Whitney (2011-2013), ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12, 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service; her family was frequently moved during her childhood, living in Washington, D.C. and Arizona, as well as in Japan. Following the footsteps of her grandmother and father, she studied painting, drawing, and architecture from the age of a child. While she was a lover of all of the arts in her life, she discovered a passion for acting. While in college she was exposed to the world of contemporary theater. In 1994 she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn began her career in college as an actor and was guided by her acting instructor. She attempted to make her mark by working at various other jobs within D.C. theater. She was able get the most important parts in local theatre productions. However, she still needed to find odd jobs to pay the bills. In order to pay the bills, she took on the roles of short industrial instructional films. She soon started getting parts in more television productions, often playing roles that she thought were "very funny, sarcastic and intelligent women", similar to her idol Bea Arthur. But, the majority of these roles were for short-run series that ended after just one or two seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love-interest for the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman.
